On 23 July 2025, UAB “Armetlina” signed a financing and administration agreement (hereinafter – the Agreement) with the Public Institution Innovation Agency for the implementation of the project “Improving Energy Efficiency at UAB Armetlina” (No. 02-090-K-0003).The project is being implemented under the Agreement in line with the progress measure No. 05-001-01-04-02 “Encouraging companies to transition towards a climate-neutral economy” of the Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Programme, managed by the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, as part of the 2022–2030 Development Programme.
Project objective – To implement energy efficiency improvement solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from production processes by at least 30%.
Problem addressed by the project:
The annual increase in energy consumption and rising energy prices are prompting the company to assess its energy usage and explore opportunities to consume energy more efficiently by improving energy efficiency. The global trend towards sustainable consumption and environmental responsibility, increasingly evident among both competitors and end users, encourages the company to seek and implement measures, technologies, and processes that conserve the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
During the project, it is planned to:
UAB Armetlina has carried out an energy consumption audit and, based on the recommendations provided, plans to install equipment that will enable the company to use energy more efficiently and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its technological processes by at least 30%.
During the project, the following activity is planned:
During the implementation of the project, equipment (a sheet metal processing line) will be installed, enabling the company to decommission five outdated and polluting metal bending and cutting machines/presses. The project will contribute to reducing primary energy consumption and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. In doing so, it will support Lithuania’s overall efforts to combat climate change, promote clean and fair energy, encourage the circular economy, adapt to climate change, prevent and manage risks related to extreme climate events, and address issues of air pollution and efficient resource use.
