The project aims to replace fossil fuels with alternative ones, thereby contributing to climate change mitigation by reducing CO2 emissions. The implementation of this project will not only reduce costs but also position the company as a contributor to mitigating the effects of climate change.

With the growing global demand for energy, fossil fuel resources are depleting, and their use harms the environment. The expansion of alternative fuel usage reduces dependence on fossil fuels. The project’s goal is to decrease the amount of fossil fuels consumed by replacing them with alternative fuels and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the company’s operations. Project activities – UAB 'Armetlina' will implement heat pumps utilizing aerothermal and geothermal energy and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions released into the environment by at least 12%.

The total project value is €311,000.50, of which €264,350.42 is allocated from the Just Transition Fund. 

The project commenced on February 14, 2024, and will be completed by August 31, 2026.
